Understanding how your salary is calculated.

Tax Brackets (IRI)

The Impôt sur le Revenu Individuel (IRI) is a progressive tax on your annual income. This means you pay different rates on different portions of your salary. The more you earn, the higher the rate on the additional income.

Annual Income Range (HTG)Tax Rate
0 - 60,0000%
60,001 - 240,00010%
240,001 - 480,00015%
480,001 - 1,000,00025%
1,000,001+30%

* Rates are applied marginally. For example, if you earn 100,000 HTG, the first 60,000 is tax-free, and only the remaining 40,000 is taxed at 10%.

Annual Bonus

In Haiti, employees are legally entitled to an annual bonus, often referred to as the "13th Month" payment.

  • It must be paid between December 24th and December 31st.
  • The amount is typically equal to one month's salary (or 1/12th of annual earnings).
  • This bonus is taxable and is added to your annual income when calculating IRI.
